My review of Doctor Who: Vincent and the Doctor is up on Behind the Sofa. In short:

Vincent and the Doctor hasn’t done anything to rehabilitate my flagging appreciation for Amy as a character, and it’s probably not the best episode of the series so far (it has been a pretty strong year). But it was witty, it looked fantastic, and yes, like some of my acquaintances in the Doctor Who Twitterspehere, I was brought to tears by the end, both times I watched it. It’s an episode I’ll remember fondly and return to often.

BOSTON — When “Today” show news anchor Ann Curry delivered the commencement speech at Wheaton College in Massachusetts, she named a list of distinguished alumni, including the Rev. Billy Graham, Wes Craven and Dennis Hastert.

The problem is the evangelist, the horror movie director and the former U.S. House Speaker all attended the Wheaton College in Illinois, not the one in Massachusetts.

I was just mad when she said Wheaton College was the best graduation she’d ever been to. Because the previous week she spoke at MY college graduation.

wtf, Ann. I thought we had something special.

(Seriously, though, her commencement address was fantastic. I don’t know her work because I don’t pay attention to the news a lot, but she seems like pure class.)
